i first met co hanh in saigon when oanh took me to her pagoda. her family lives in hue and she very kindly accomodated me on my first night there. on the next day, we walked for two hours finding our way back to her house on foot, and i did not see any sign of impatience or hear a word of complaint from her. on another day, she took me to visit the tombs on her motorbike knowing that i am keen to follow the plum village schedule. when i decided to move to a dormitory, she helped brought my luggage to my dorm and was worried if i would sleep well. and on another occasion when we have finished the dharma talk at thien mu pagoda, she bought me a souvenir -- a glass ornament with the figure of bodhisattva quan the am (guan yin).
