emperor khai dinh is the second last king in the nguyen dynasty. his tomb is distinctly different from those of his ancestors. the materials used for construction is much more exquisite and decorations more elaborated. photography is not allowed in the interior where his body lay. a bronze statue of him is set sitting on his throne in the interior room ornamented with colourful tiles and fragments of porcelain.
